Im sorry I have ADHD! brackish water set up


I am not familiar with the Filter system you mention, but, beside the iron it pulls out, it may be reducing the amount of calcium in the water. This, plus an abundance of CO2 in the water may account for the 6.8 pH at the start, and the higher pH as the water outgases the CO2. While the good marine mixes include buffers to increase the pH of the water, I’d lay my money on your ending pH to be just pure luck.
