High pH - 8!
I have a suggestion. Since your having a hard time bringing your pH down, maybe sell off the fish you have or trade them with someone for some cichlids. Since cichlids love high pH that would be perfect. Unless you have an attachment to the fish you already have here is another idea when you do water changes go to a local grocery store and buy a few gallons of distilled water only about 69-99 cents from where i live. If you do weekly water changes of 10 percent or whatever or monthly water changes of 25 percent that s still only 5 gallons or so you would need to buy of distilled water. For you to bring it down from 8 though i would do at least a 50 percent water change right away with distilled water from your local grocery store. hope that helps.
