Great Blue Heron Spring Migration
I read that the herons migrate back into western PA in late Feb early March. Does anyone know if they begin feeding right away?
I have to take away some of the temporary shelter for my fish (until the plants grow) to get to my pump, (which seems to be working, but instead of moving water it humms then stops–I’m thinking there’s ice somewhere in there) and I don’t want to leave them exposed as a snack for my local bird.
