From what you are describing, the water quality is going downhill (the fin and tail rot and blood lines down the tail are good indicators of this). You need to check the pH, ammonia and nitrIte as soon as possible. In the mean time, you should do one 25% water change a day for the next 5 days, using a gravel cleaning siphon to remove detritus from the gravel. Before the water change, take your water sample so we know what the water quality was before the changes.
