FISH HEALTH TOPIC QUESTION

To keep y’all happy that this forum is fish related:
I have a problem. Well, my fish have a problem.
As most of you know, they live in Tucker, Georgia - just east of Atlanta.
It has been raining, fairly heavily, and the pond is actually overflowing.
The problem is that the fish are bewitched, bothered, and bewildered because they do not understand what is happening. How does a pond owner explain to large koi what rain is?
Inquiring minds want to know…..
On a more serious note: Since we did get a large amount of rain, I am carefully checking the pH and KH (carbonate hardness) to make sure that the rain did not make the water less healthy for its residents.
We have had at least a few cases locally over the years of heavy rain killing koi. So, please, know your water quality parameters so that you can tell it they have changed.
:-)
