Filtration
I just picked up some polyflo pond filter material from the local distributor. This stuff is surprisingly coarse. I installed it in one of my filters so the water must travel through 4″ of this stuff. First thing I noticed was that the flow is mucg greater than through my prior filter materail which as mainly carbon. I also added Ecofloc to the pond. This stuff seems amazing with the filters off for one hour after I put it into the pond a heavey surface scum started to build up. The clarity of the pond under this scum is greatly improved.
The big question will be how everything looks tomarrow morning.
