filter systems
hey folks nice to find you could use some advice on filters back in the day I worked in a pet store for years back when salt water was new ( hey Im old what can I say ) we used to use under-gravel bubble powered filters exclusively but these days they have nuclear powered filter systems now Im an artist ( both actual and conceptual ) and Im working on a new project it involves several large tank set ups and I need some hints on filter systems the conceptual part of being an artist involves designs in mediums I dont actually work in now for my set ups I want to showcase the hole thing all of it is art the tank the stand the fish the decor AND THE FILTER so Ive done my home work on filters but the options are endless and I could use the impartial knowledge and experience you folks have ( you guys arent trying to sell me any thing ) Im leaning towards a four part filter solution a wet dry container of bio balls a filter pad over the balls unit a diatom filter unit a ultraviolet sterilizer unit and a skimmer all in blown glass set in a remote display case
I also could use some advice on aquarium in line heaters and coolers is any one doing thermodynamic chips they both heat and cool ( you just would have to reverse the polarity ) I suppose I could design one of those myself but do they already have them on the market any way thanks for your time I appologize for the length of this note and appreciate your input B
