Duckweed & frogbit

Hi everyone,
In December I wrote here asking for ideas as to how to get rid of excessive duckweed in my tanks. I did have some good luck thinning it quite a bit. Among the replies I got were a couple of folks saying they would like to have some. Now that it is springtime here and I have let it go a bit in order to have enough to give away, I am willing to try to send some of it to others who would like it. I also have quite a lot of frogbit (Limnobium spp.) that I need to thin. I would prefer to share it rather than throw it away so please let me know if you would want some. NB: there is a good likelihood that some small snails or snail eggs could stowaway with the plants. I do have some pond snails and red ramshorn snails in the two tanks from where I would get the plants.
I have never shipped aquatic plants before so if you want some, please be patient with me as I get organized. I have some ideas as to how to send it so I’m not totally clueless. I am not asking for payment for the plants but if you want to swap or help with postage, we can talk about it.
Please contact me directly at bmpardue (at) yahoo (dot) com so that we can keep it a one-to-one conversation and not clutter the list.
Thanks and good evening, Beverly in Texas
Peace, please!
