Thanks everyone for your replies. I did salt this morning. The plants have found a new temporary home, although this was a temporary home… We have started digging the new pond which will be 2500g and so these 2 little koi were only to be in the tank for quarantine. The pond we have now is just under 1000g and the 2 will be joined by a stream. It’s all very exciting and not moving quite as quickly as I want it too! Comet babies were not something that I had bargained for, (had I known they were there they would have been gone before the 2 koi were put in) but they will be finding themselves some new homes shortly. I have continued to test the water regularly and so far have not had problems, and hopefully, this will be emptied within the next few weeks and everyone will be settled before winter is upon us. Does anyone have a bog garden? I plan on putting one in, it will be seperate from the ponds, but I’m not 100% sure on the initial set up. Would love your ideas. Thanks again! Lori
