Diagnosing problem

Hi JT. I sent you an e-mail a little while ago but I think I hit the wrong button and lost it all. Anyway, the best thing to do is to make a one third water change from the bottom of your pond and stop all feeding of your fish for a few days. If the immune system of the fish is healthy due to good condition in the pond, the fish will start to heal itself. You can help the fish out by adding one pound of sea/aquarium/pickling salt for every 100 gallons of pond water. This should help with the healing process but it’s important to remember that if water conditions are not good, the fish will not be able to heal itself, no matter what medication you use. I wish we were closer because I’d come over a give your fish a shot of Baytril. I am also from Canada.
Yours Koily, Lorraine
