Diagnosing problem
We took the koi out of the water to examine his mouth. We were shocked to see that the tissue in his mouth was eaten away. We looked in one of our books and we figured he had mouth rot. While putting some antibiotic ointment on the wound, he flapped around so hard, he fell off the chair. At first he seemed fine but he’s been less active on the past couple of days. Are falls usually fatal? We do have him quarantined. The water quality in the main pond has been very good. Has anyone used koizyme?
