Small gravel(normal tank gravel) and actually we did add some lighter colored large patio gravel(up to 5/8″ ) around the larger sword plants. I’ll get some pics of the tank, course we moved a few plants to save eggs. You might see some in the pics I posted of the angels in My album. TY
