Cloudy Salt Tank

Annie, I really like the Marineland Bio-wheel filter. It’s a HOB (hang on back) filter. You just change the pads. You don’t interrupt your good bacteria with this filter. Never wash the wheels, for that is where part of your bacteria bed lives. I recycle the pads, wash the filter pads out and make a slit at the top of the pad dump out the old carbon and replace it with new washed carbon. I replace my clients pads every month, so I have access to many used pads. It takes 44 pads in my fish room to change all the pads, so it saves my a substantial amount of money to re-cycle.
