BBQ bird,…… Lol
Yep…. we thought about it! Lol…. Our pond was, and is now about 6 ft deep.
We do have shelves for the plants to rest on.
We took so long in rebuilding our pond as my brother dug out the pond to begin with, but he and his girlfriend had a baby…. so we put the pond on the back burner for a few months. This gave the bird time to go away.
We have some sea urchin bins that are about 300 galons. We put the remaining fish into onw of these buckets for the inturm.
It’s just really nice to have the pond back and fish swimming around again. Mom has started buying fish again, to restock some of our missing koi.
We all bought fish for mom for her birthdays gone by, but there was a time when she said NO MORE FISH!
Only cause we would need a bigger pond to keep them in.
I guess we’re addicted to fish! Lol…. I USED to have 32 aquariums in my room! now ALL the fish are outside. after I founded the National Reptile Foundation, all spare aquariums got turned into reptile houses.
I still never turn down a fish. I have 2 projects I’m working on. http://www.SecondhandAnimals.com where I rescue animals A - Z and find them new homes.

I sometimes get swamped with animals, but then they’re here cause they’ve been displaced, and have NO where else to go. Then I have a radio show that I announce all the animals up for adoption. That really helps find the right home, as the only people who call, are the ones really interested. From there I can make sure they have all the right info, so we know they can take care of the critters the right way.
Fish have long lives, if taken care of properly. and Reptiles too.
