[AquaticLife] Who Was That Masked Man? Thanks Dr. Tim!

That was actually the real Dr. Tim Hovanec.. from Dr. Tim’s Aquatics http://www.drtimsaquatics.com, the inventor of the Bio-Wheel, Bio-Spira and now, Dr. Tim’s One And Only. I emailed him off-list about the current thread and he replied to me and then replied to the group. How cool is that to have such a noted industry expert as a member. I just got done reading his article about the Zeolite used for ammonia removal, Clinoptilolite (and we thought Zeolite was a hard name.. lol) and the pluses and minuses of using it.. mostly minuses. http://drtimsaquatics.com/Library_Presentations/Aquarium_Lit/assets/Clinopti lolite.pdf
But back to the One and Only… I think if it only gets really cold during shipping, it would be OK but if it freezes, then that kills the bacteria… after all, it should be refrigerated if you don’t use the entire bottle after opening. Yes, the bottles have date codes on them and have a six month shelf life at room temp. Just have DrsFosterSmith.com or whoever you order from put a little heat pack in the box.. not right next to the bottle though… and you should be OK. The heat packs are really inexpensive and they use them when the ship live fish.
And I like how he stands by his product too… offering a replacement to the OP without a hitch.
