Hi Lana, You are correct but what they are is little refrigerators. There is a device I have seen that uses a peltier effect device but they are over $100 too and just are heat exchangers similar to what I was doing only better looking. see http://www.aquaticeco.com/subcategories/112/Coolworks-IceProbe These are cheaper coolers.
