[AquaticLife] Testimony for One And Only

Now… that’s a “Testimony”. ;-)
While many FW fish can and do OK with nitrate levels that rise as high as 40ppm between PWC’s, it’s best to keep them lower, around 20ppm, which means more frequent PWC’s and/or live plants.
Here’s \Steve//’s long article, written here in this group, all about Nitrates for more reading… http://pets.groups.yahoo.com/group/AquaticLife/message/13064
And for even more reading, here’s a long article based on many of Dr. Tim’s scientific papers about the nitrogen cycle. http://dataguru.org/misc/aquarium/waterinfo.html Learn this page and you’ll know almost every thing you ever wanted to know about the nitrogen cycle, water chemistry in our aquariums, filtration, etc.. Unfortunately, many of the reference cites listed may not work since there were to his works hosted on the Marineland.com site when he was there chief science officer. I checked only the first one and it did not work any longer.
