[AquaticLife] OT - DebR’s Dishwasher issue (was -Driftwood Cleaning & Curing…. Now, why didn’t I think of this???)

Unless your owner’s manual has details on how to empty this… will a piece of small airline tube work for sucking/siphoning most of it out? Read the links below.
If you can’t figure out how to remove the remaining dishwashing liquid, then run the dishwasher on just the rinse cycle several times until it’s empty. During the rinse cycle, the dishwasher is using a constant flow of fresh water which is then draining out right away. During the wash cycle, the bottom of the dishwasher fills up with water and that water is constantly re-sprayed over and over which is what causes the major suds problem. You should not have this with just the rinse cycle but if you do, be prepared to stop the machine so you don’t have a mess.
Read this eHow AND the comments for more info. The last comment is the same as your situation. http://www.ehow.com/how_112264_correct-overflowing-dishwasher.html
Here’s a Yahoo Answers thread on it. http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index?qid=20061228073024AAxX2W3
