[AquaticLife] OT - DebR’s Dishwasher issue (was -Driftwood Cleaning & Curing…. Now, why didn’t I think of this???)
Oh, the over-sudsing thing happened a couple of years ago while my son was home on vacation. We finally got enough of the Dawn out by refilling the hole in the door with hot water and then soaking it out with paper towels over and over (and over and over) again and then, yes, running the rinse cycle several times. I made a mental note at the time to never assume that a nuclear engineer knows everything.
I’m not sure removing the rinse for aquarium cleaning purposes would be cost or time effective. That’s a month’s worth of stuff in there, though I suppose if I did the porous items at refill time, it would work out. For instance when I get ready to stock the new(used) tank with decorations. I’d like it to look a bit more natural than the one that’s up and running. Either that, or totally mystical. It depends on which one of my inner children rules when I go to actually buy stuff. We are many, and Mom’s not good at crowd control.
