Remember that you can use Prime as a dechlor which also will treat that low level of ammonia but once your tank is fully cycled, when doing your normal PWC’s, you would only be introducing 0.125ppm or less of ammonia with each PWC which would immediately be converted via the nitrogen cycle in your running filtration… so you can switch to a regular less expensive dechlor, than Prime, if you wanted.
More than likely, your water is treated with chloramines or maybe they actually add ammonia to the water in addition to chlorine… in either case, the above is still applicable.
