[AquaticLife] I’m back
A neighbor across the street set up a tank this past summer and she is battling brown algae. I don’t want to give her any wrong advice. I thought maybe it was from over feeding, but I looked it up and these are the causes
Cause
° Diatoms
° Excess silicates & nitrates
° Inadequate light
° Low oxygen levels
What is diatoms and silicates, also does it mean more lighting or less and how do you add oxygen.
Her set up is pretty much the same as mine, a 55G from Pets Mart. But she has fresh water fish. Not goldies.
