[AquaticLife] I’m back

Wen surgery, which is only needed in rare situations, while it can be done by the hobbyist, is best left to a veterinarian or at least a hobbyist with experience. You wouldn’t have to worry about the fish wiggling since it would be under anesthesia (usually clove oil solution for the hobbyist). Do not let this preclude you from choosing an Oranda. After all, you wouldn’t decide to not own a cat or dog since it might get hit by a car one day and you couldn’t do the surgery to repair the broken leg. These kinds of low risk situations should not be a decision breaker… now tank size, filtration, etc…. yes, that’s more than a low risk situation.
