Thanks Len the pictures would help you but there is more. I took a bad fall —-yes me big as I am! Landed butt first but on my left shoulder as well. Sore and not fun typing. Lots of ice here the past day or so. Dowel is excellant idea and from level marks to should be across the front. One of hardwood at a 1/4 or 1/8 inch should do it just worried about the bottoms gap further back from where dowel would be placed if you get what I mean. Raising it at all will cause a bit of gap under the remaining part. This will have to wait until arm is better. bill
