I just clean mine off, split it down the middle length wise and put it in the tank with the rind still on it. Some plecos will eat only the flesh while others will eat the rind only. I also use green squash the exact same way.. They love it and will spend the entire day and night eating it. Just don’t leave it in more than a few hours as it will mess up the tank when it falls apart. Wendie
