[AquaticLife] Cukes for pleco

For a single pleco, a single round slice 1/4″ thick, raw, works fine. Just wash the waxy stuff off the skin or peel it. I would just wash mine and then slice it. Pleco’s can gnaw just about anything… they actually eat driftwood… so there veggies do not need to be blanched. Other fish do like their veggies softer. When I feed a zucchini slice, I would blanche it since the other fish also liked nibbling on the pulp. Also with a zucchini slice, cut through one edge of the rind so it can’t form a ring that might get stuck on one of the fish since the fish usually don’t eat the rind although I have seen a hungry pleco eat rind and all. And Mystery Snails like zucchini rind also. I’ve never tried fruits with my goldfish, pleco or tropical’s… but I’ve read that goldfish like to eat orange slices… of course, goldfish would eat anything they can get into their mouths. LOL
