[AquaticLife] CUCUMBER FEEDING

I haven’t seen much on pleco’s eating carrots. Maybe that’s why they can’t see very well. ;-) (I know the carrots-eye sight thing is only a myth… but then there’s always that argument where we’ve never seen a rabbit with glasses. lol) I did just glance at the Pleco Feeding Article on plecofanatics.com http://www.plecofanatics.com/forum/showthread.php?t=11018 and didn’t see mention of it there either. I guess you could try it and see. They do like bulky fibrous foods. Do you have a piece of driftwood in the tank yet? They really love driftwood.
Someone actually invented a veggie-screw thing for weighing down things like cukes for feeding plecos. Just make sure, if you are going to use your cork puller again, that you sand or file off the pointy edge so it doesn’t injure your pleco. I still use the live plant weight strips that have come with my previous live plant purchases at PetsMart or my LFS. You can also get them for free from these stores who usually have many laying around.
