[AquaticLife] black spots n goldfish
When a goldfish is exposed to bad water quality, which includes, among other things, ammonia, the normal reaction is blood streaks in the fins. The fins will also become ragged and deteriorate from there. If the water quality is bad enough for long enough, the gills may also be affected. I have never heard of high ammonia, or high anything, causing black spots on the body of a goldfish. Goldfish coloration is highly variable, and it is not uncommon for them to change color at any given point in their lives.
What re the water parameters in the tank that you have your goldfish in? How large is the tank? What kind of goldfish? What size are they? You simply do not give us enough information to advise you to take any path other than to practice good aquarium maintenance with regular water changes and ensuring that you have at least 30 gallons per goldfish available.
